AKG C1000S MK4 Condenser Instrument Microphone

    16,999.00

Ideal Condenser for Studio and Mobile Use

Grab the updated AKG C1000 S MK4 and see what you’ve been missing. Sales Engineers have long recommended the C1000 S to project studio engineers and field recording specialists for years because of its clarity and versatility, and this updated version is more versatile than ever. Switchable capsule caps provide cardioid and hypercardioid polar pattern, plus an optional gain boost, while the addition of a switchable pad and highpass filter let you tailor the frequency response to a wide range of applications. You can power the C1000 S MK4 with a pair of AA batteries for up to 120 hours, making it a great companion for your mobile recording. What’s more, the internally shockmounted capsule has been redesigned with gold-plating to resist rust and corrosion.

    AKG C1000 S MK4 Condenser Microphone at a Glance:

    • Great for mobile recording or live sound with phantom or battery power
    • Cardioid pattern can be quickly switched to hypercardioid
    • Switchable pad and highpass filter for added flexibility

Great for mobile recording or live sound with phantom or battery power

The versatility of the C1000 S MK4 makes this an extremely popular model, and one ideally suited for all kinds of recording and live sound applications. If no phantom power is available, the mic can be powered by two standard AA batteries, making it perfect for mobile use. With its new battery monitoring electronics, the C1000 S MK4 features a reliable LED warning light. The red LED above the microphone switch lights up when the C1000 S MK4’s remaining battery life falls below 45 minutes. You’ll never be caught with a useless mic in situations where phantom power is not available!

Cardioid pattern can be quickly switched to hypercardioid

Many of us here have used C1000 S models since they first came out, and they’re wonderful mics for acoustic guitar, percussion, and even certain types of vocals. One of the things that makes this mic particularly versatile is its switchable diaphragm cabs, which let you choose between cardioid and hypercardioid polar patterns, or add a presence boost. With the presence boost adapter in place, you get an extra 3-5dB of high-end enhancement between 5kHz and 9kHz, which can be a real asset if you’re using your C1000 S MK4 for ENG or interview applications.

Switchable pad and highpass filter for added flexibility

One of the most surprising things about the C1000 S MK4 revision is the addition of both a highpass filter and a pad. While you won’t find these controls on the outside of the mic, they’re accessible via the battery compartment, where you can’t accidentally switch the setting during run-and-gun recording. The highpass filter is set at 80Hz, which is perfect for cutting out handling noise (already mitigated by the internal spider shockmount) and proximity effect. That’s particularly useful when you hand the mic to an inexperienced speaker for ENG applications. Likewise, there’s a switchable -10dB pad onboard, which can save you from preamp overloads if you’re recording loud drums or guitar cabinets.

    AKG C1000 S MK4 Condenser Microphone Features:

    • A highly versatile small-diaphragm condenser microphone for mobile and studio use
    • Great for acoustic guitar and percussion as well as speech and vocals
    • Runs on 2 AA batteries for up to 120 hours for mobile/ENG applications
    • Internally shockmounted gold-plated capsule resists corrosion and handling noise
    • Switchable diaphragm caps let you choose from cardioid or hypercardioid polar patterns
    • Presence Boost cap lets you add a 3-5dB boost between 5-9kHz for speech clarity
    • Cut proximity effect and handling noise with the internally switchable 80Hz highpass filter
    • Prevent preamp overloading with the internally switchable -10dB pad
    • Recessed on/off switch lets you quickly cut the mic when needed
    • Also includes a foam windscreen, stand adapter, and carry bag

    17,999.00

Put the “Kick” Back in Your Kick Drum!

Does your kick drum sound like it’s on a diet? If so, Sweetwater has the answer to your sonic problems: the D112 MKII bass mic. Its presence peak makes your low-frequency instrument punch through in almost any mix. Being a kick drum standard for years and years, it is also often seen miking up bass cabinets, guitar cabinets for low-tuned performances, and anywhere else optimum low-frequency performance is a must. And its integrated flexible mount ensures you can always position it where it needs to be.

AKG D112 MKII Dynamic Microphone at a Glance:

    • Kick drum mic with astoundingly high SPL capacity
    • Specially engineered diaphragm for excellent low-frequency response
    • MKII features a highly flexible mount

Kick drum mic with astoundingly high SPL capacityThe D112 MKII has earned a well-deserved reputation worldwide as the best kick drum microphone ever made. That has everything to do with the fact that its 160dB max SPL rating can take just about any signal you throw at it. Heavy-footed drummers won’t faze it. The D112 MKII performs in those environments without any audible distortion. Quit running a microphone designed for your singer’s voice on your bass drum. Give your kick the sound it deserves with the AKG D112 MKII.

Specially engineered diaphragm for excellent low-frequency responseThe D112 MKII’s specially engineered diaphragm with a very low resonance frequency maintains solid and powerful response below 100Hz, while a narrow band presence rise at 4kHz punches through dense mixes with little or no added EQ. The result is a kick drum sound that ideally balances precise definition and forceful impact. The D112 MKII is also an excellent choice for use with bass cabinets, trombones, and other bass instruments.

MKII features a highly flexible mountThere’s no denying that the AKG D112 is a standard for bass drum miking. But the rigid mic stand mount could really make it difficult to get that microphone right where you need it to capture the optimal sound you’re going for. The D112 MKII solves this problem with an integrated flexible mount. Getting the D112 MKII into your kick drum, mounted flush against a bass cabinet, or any other way you may need to angle the microphone is now possible. A flexible mic is even more flexible than before.

AKG P820 Tube Condenser Mic at a Glance:

    • Nine polar patterns, for amazing versatility
    • What you can do with this workhorse mic

Nine polar patterns, for amazing versatilityThe AKG P820 Tube includes a remote power supply with a rotary switch that lets you select the microphone’s polar pattern from omnidirectional (fully counter-clockwise) to cardioid (center) to figure-8 (fully clockwise). Between those settings are six intermediate patterns. All the switch positions are detented, so your settings are easily reproducible in the heat of session. engineers can verify the value of having multiple pickup patterns for immediate deployment. This feature – along with its gorgeous sonics and high-SPL capabilities – will make the P820 Tube your go-to studio workhorse mic for any number of recording applications, day-in and day-out.

What you can do with this workhorse micTwo singers, one mic: grab the AKG P820 Tube, set it to figure-8, and you’re good to go. Record a sax solo overdub with natural “slap”: position the P820 Tube (again, on figure-8) between the sax player and the control room window; adjust mic position to taste. Ginormous Val Garay-style toms (two racks and a floor): three P820s on cardioid, fairly close-in – just don’t let the drummer hit the mics! Full symphony orchestra, Bob Fine’s Mercury Living Presence technique: again, three P820s, this time set to omni, across the proscenium arch; record to three tracks panned left, center, right. Set your levels for peaks, then leave those faders alone and let the conductor balance the orchestra. We could go on, but even without exploring the intermediate polar pattern settings, you can already see how the P820 Tube can be used in any number of ways to produce incredible sounding tracks.

AKG P820 Tube Condenser Mic Features:

    • Cardioid, omni, and figure-8 polar patterns, plus six intermediate patterns
    • Included remote control allows choice of nine different polar patterns
