D-PRE discrete Class-A mic preamps deliver clean and natural sound

Nobody wants to hear mics that are plugged into thin, distorted, or underpowered preamps. MG Series mixing consoles employ Yamaha’s transparent D-PRE preamps, which provide more power with lower impedance, delivering natural-sounding bass and smooth highs. D-PREs simply sound good – without hyping any specific elements of your mix. The D-PRE’s pure sound will ensure that you won’t need to spend hours EQ-ing just to get a barely-acceptable sound, like you would with low-quality mic preamps.

One-knob compressors provide easy-to-use dynamics control

When you’re in the midst of a live event, you don’t have time to tweak a large number of complex outboard units. To resolve this issue, the Yamaha MG Series of analog mixers features simple, time-saving one-knob compressors. Simply twist a single rotary control and you can dial in livelier guitars, punchier basses, tighter drums, and well-defined vocals.

EQ and highpass filter allow for effective sound-shaping

Whether you’re tweaking your sound to perfection or whether you’re removing some unwanted frequencies, effective and powerful EQ is necessary for building a successful mix. Featuring equalizers on all mono channels, the Yamaha MG Series mixing consoles provide you with ample control over the tonal balance of your mix. Additionally, a highpass filter allows you to get rid of any mud that might be present in your mix by eliminating unwanted low-frequency noise.

Built-in SPX digital effects add polish and professionalism

In order to add that final glue and polish to your mix, the Yamaha MG Series mixing consoles provides you with a comprehensive suite of 24 editable digital effects. Based on Yamaha’s acclaimed SPX digital multi-effect processor, the MG Series delivers high-quality reverb, delay, chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, and auto-wah, in addition to distortion, pitch effects, and more.

High quality op-amp ensures transparent sound reproduction

We know that few things will kill tone as quickly as sub-par op-amps. The Yamaha MG Series utilizes new, high-quality MG01 op-amps, ensuring that your mix sounds its best. When designing these op-amps, Yamaha focused on sound quality, rather than prioritizing electrical design and efficiency. Yamaha has always strived to deliver the purest possible signal instead of imparting their “signature” to your sound, and the MG Series is no exception. You can count on a transparent, natural, and articulate sound when you mix through a MG Series analog mixer.

    Yamaha MG12XU Analog Mixer Features:

    • D-PRE mic preamps deliver clean, transparent, and natural sound
    • 3-band EQ on all mono channels for sound-shaping
    • 1-knob compressors provide straightforward dynamics control

    Analog Mixing Consoles

With large linear faders for easy visibility under low-light conditions, the 10-channel Yamaha MG10XUF carries on Yamaha’s tradition of great sound, delivering Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps and SPX onboard effects. Ideal for recording, live music and installed applications, the MG10XUF boasts an intuitive, easy-to-use interface and rock-solid construction that’s designed to stand up to professional use.

Yamaha’s state-of-the-art, discrete, studio-grade Class-A D-PRE microphone preamplifiers utilize inverted Darlington circuitry to deliver outstanding sonic quality with ample power at low impedance. The high-resolution sound of D-PRE preamps is a beloved feature of Yamaha’s professional mixers, satisfying the requirements of the most demanding sound engineers. With big, natural sounding bass, a rich midrange, and smooth highs—all with very low distortion—D-PRE preamps offer an impressively wide frequency range that handles signals from any audio source without coloration, faithfully retaining the most detailed nuances of the original sound.

An upgraded single-knob compressor makes it possible to add optimized compression to a wide variety of input sources via a single control. Yamaha’s acclaimed SPX effects are ubiquitous in sound reinforcement and recording applications. Twenty-four updated SPX effects are included in the MG10XUF for versatile creative processing.

The MG10XUF also features a USB 2.0 audio interface capable of 24-bit/192kHz quality for playback of digital content from a PC, and/or recording of the mixer’s output to DAW software such as the included Steinberg Cubase AI. USB Audio Class 2.0 is also supported, allowing operation with USB Audio Class 2.0 compliant tablets and other devices without the need to install driver software. The MG10XUF is also compatible with the Apple Camera Connection Kit or Lighting to USB Camera Adapter for seamless recording and playback of digital audio to and from an iPad or iPhone.

With emphasis on durability, the versatile MG10XUF boasts practical features that ensure reliable operation in a wide range of challenging conditions. A powder-coated steel chassis provides improved structural strength, while the placement of the knobs above the surface of the chassis protects internal components by absorbing impact or pressure applied to the knobs themselves.

Additionally, a highpass filter allows you to get rid of any mud that might be present in your mix by eliminating unwanted low-frequency noise.

Built-in SPX digital effects add polish and professionalism

In order to add that final glue and polish to your mix, the Yamaha MG Series mixing consoles provides you with a comprehensive suite of editable digital effects. Based on Yamaha’s acclaimed SPX digital multi-effect processor, the Yamaha MG06X delivers high-quality reverb and delays.

High quality op-amp ensures transparent sound reproduction

Here, we know that few things will kill tone as quickly as sub-par op-amps.

    Yamaha MG06X Analog Mixer Features:

    • D-PRE mic preamps deliver clean, transparent, and natural sound
    • 2-band EQ on all mono channels for sound-shaping
    • SPX effect processors provide you with a selection of reverbs and delays

EQ and highpass filter allow for effective sound-shaping

Whether you’re tweaking your sound to perfection or whether you’re removing some unwanted frequencies, effective and powerful EQ is necessary for building a successful mix. Featuring equalizers on all mono channels, the Yamaha MG Series mixing consoles provides you with ample control over the tonal balance of your mix. Looking for a simple, easy-to-use mixer that delivers an exceptional audio performance? For recording, live, install or broadcast use there’s a Soundcraft EPM mixer for you. EPM is available in three models: EPM6 (6 mono inputs), EPM8 (8 Mono inputs), and EPM 12 (12 Mono inputs), each with 2 stereo channels as standard.

Soundcraft EPM6 Mixer at a Glance:

    • Quality audio performance with premium preamps

Quality audio performance with premium preamps
The emphasis with the Soundcraft EPM Series is very firmly on quality audio performance, with an easy-to-understand control surface uncluttered by unnecessary features. The EPM6 features Soundcraft’s premium GB30 mic preamp (as used on the large-format LX7ii and GB Series desks) to provide high headroom and
    precision control of mic signals.

    Balanced inputs with inserts
Mic and line inputs are provided on balanced XLR and 1/4″ jack connectors, with the main stereo outputs on balanced XLRs for best integration with other professional equipment. There are also insert points on every mono channel and the mix outputs for external signal processing.

Unique Peak LEDs monitor the entire signal path
Because levels are constantly changing throughout the signal path – from the preamp stage, through filtering and EQ – the EPM mixers provide peak LEDs on all input channels. These monitoring LEDs are fed from multiple points in the signal path to ensure nothing is overlooked. The LEDs also employ proportional illumination to show signal level when approaching peaks, allowing you to maximize the quality of any signal by utilizing all the available headroom. The main stereo mix has 10-segment LED meters, with a PFL Active
indicator to show whether any channels are being soloed.
