Yamaha MMP1 Studio Monitor Management System

    All-inclusive Monitor Control

Looking for all-inclusive monitor control? The Yamaha MMP1 delivers the goods. It supplies you with up to 32 channels of monitor processing, covering everything from stereo to immersive audio. Tailor your low end to any environment with comprehensive bass management. Benefit from powerful speaker calibration on every channel, including time-alignment delay, EQ, and other final-stage audio adjustment tools. Enjoy extensive processing capabilities via eight feature-packed channel strips with EQ, VCM vintage compressors, and more. Voice-over artists will appreciate the MMP1’s extended post-production support. Beyond that, you get talkback, cue, and GPI functions. Complete with intuitive software control, the MMP1 exhibits the top-shelf sound and performance audio professionals demand.

Tackles any monitoring configuration with ease

It doesn’t matter how you configure your studio, the MMP1 can handle it. Its 40 x 36 channel monitor matrix tackles stereo, 5.1, and 7.1, as well as immersive formats like Dolby Atmos, with ease. Eight cue outputs and eight studio speaker outputs accommodate just about any monitor setup. Two talkback systems function with all eight of the MMP1’s outputs. The MMP1’s powerful matrix efficiently connects and routes all essential audio throughout your studio, thanks to the integrated management of monitoring, cue, and talkback functions.

Tailor your low end to any environment

With the MMP1, bass management is a breeze. You can flexibly configure standard or FIR crossover filters within a 32 x 32 channel speaker matrix. This reduces the phase interference between your main and LFE channels to an absolute minimum. The result is clear, well-defined audio with spot-on imaging. The MMP1’s flexible bass management capabilities provide you with a distinct advantage over systems with fixed bass management systems, especially for immersive audio production.

Powerful speaker calibration on every channel

The Yamaha MMP1 supplies you with an array of final-stage audio adjustment tools. Time-alignment delays, 6-band room EQs, and gain trims are provided on every one of its 32 speaker output channels.

Extensive processing via 8 feature-packed channel strips

The MMP1 provides you with ample processing via eight feature-packed channel strips. Each channel strip includes gain trim, delay, polarity reverse, filter, and insert facilities, as well as four selectable EQ algorithms and Yamaha’s acclaimed Comp260 compressor. The EQ algorithms include Precise for surgical sonic corrections, Aggressive for musical sound-shaping, Smooth for natural aural sculpting, and Legacy for replicating the feel and response found in Yamaha’s digital consoles. The Comp260 employs a faithful VCM (Virtual Circuit Modeling) emulation of a prized analog compressor from the ’70s. With this much high-quality processing onboard, you’ll find little need for outboard processors or complex internal DAW routing.

    Extended post-production support

Voice-over artists will be thankful for the MMP1’s extended post-production support. Besides eight cue outputs and eight speaker outputs, you also get two talkback systems that function with those outputs. A commentary function provides smooth communication with artists and voice-over talent. You can also connect a controller to the MMP1’s GPI interface to supply your artist with cough mute control. When the cough mute function is turned off and the microphone is live, the booth monitor speakers are automatically muted to prevent feedback. When you take into account its many useful features, it’s clear that the MMP1 was tailor-made for post production.

Intuitive software control via computer or tablet

With Yamaha’s MMP1 Editor software, you can achieve all-function access to the MMP1 with your Mac or PC. System design, file management, day-to-day operation — they’re all readily available. On top of that, a setup wizard makes getting up and running fast, easy, and precise. You can also attain intuitive remote control over the MMP1’s essential features with Yamaha’s MMP1 Controller app and your iPad.

Adam Audio T5V Powered Studio Monitors

Professional ADAM Monitoring for the Budget-conscious Studio

Junior partner in the T Series, ADAM Audio’s affordable line of professional 2-way active studio monitors, the T5V features a 5″ polypropylene low-frequency driver that delivers bass extension down to 45Hz, while the company’s U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter provides pristine highs extended up to 25kHz – quite remarkable for a monitor in this price range. The tweeter’s broad, uniform dispersion pattern is assisted by a precision waveguide modeled on the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM’s premium S Series studio monitors, which provides an impressively wide sweet spot that liberates you from being constrained to a rigid listening position.

The T5V’s beveled cabinet features a rear-firing bass reflex port affixed to a thick metal backplate that houses the analog input connections and DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalization. The woofer’s 50W Class D amplifier, in combination with the 20W Class D tweeter amp, enables a pair of T5Vs to achieve a maximum SPL of 106dB at one meter. The T5V’s extended frequency response, robust dynamic range, exemplary transient response, broad sweet spot, and compact footprint make it ideally suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post, and broadcast applications. It’s a perfect monitoring solution, considering the modest budgets that many facilities have to work with.

Adam Audio T7V Powered Studio Monitors

Professional ADAM Monitoring for the Budget-conscious Studio

A member of the T Series, ADAM Audio’s affordable line of professional 2-way active studio monitors, the T7V features a 7″ polypropylene low-frequency driver that delivers bass extension down to an impressive 39Hz, while the company’s U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter provides pristine highs extended up to 25kHz – quite remarkable for a monitor in this price range.

The T7V’s beveled cabinet features a rear-firing bass reflex port affixed to a thick metal backplate that houses the analog input connections and DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalization. The woofer’s 50W Class D amplifier, in combination with the 20W Class D tweeter amp, enables a pair of T7Vs to achieve an impressive maximum SPL of 110dB at one meter. The T7V’s extended frequency response, robust dynamic range, exemplary transient response, broad sweet spot, and compact footprint make it ideally suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post, and broadcast applications. It’s a perfect monitoring solution, considering the modest budgets that many facilities have to work with.

    7″ polypropylene low-frequency driver

The drivers in ADAM Audio studio monitors benefit from years of in-house research and development and take advantage of the latest advances in technology and materials science. The woofer in the T7V is engineered to deliver optimized low-frequency reproduction with extended dynamic range and freedom from coloration. It incorporates a rigid, yet low-mass polypropylene driver cone; a highly efficient magnet assembly and precisely aligned voice coil; and an optimized driver chassis/basket design. The T7V’s 7″ woofer extends response down to 39Hz, making the speaker a suitable choice for nearfield monitoring in small control rooms, with or without a subwoofer. If more low-end extension is desirable, ADAM Audio’s Sub8 and Sub7 subwoofers pair perfectly with the T7V.

    The U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter

Instead of producing sound with a piston-like diaphragm like most loudspeakers, ADAM Audio’s U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter uses a pleated diaphragm that prevents distortion by moving air four times faster than the folds themselves are moving. Built to the tightest tolerances, the U-ART tweeter delivers ultra-low distortion and extends the frequency range up to 25kHz, enriching the soundfield with stunning detail and faithfully conveying every nuance of the source material so you can work over long periods without listening fatigue.

ADAM Audio: elevating the state of the art

From its 1999 launch in Berlin, ADAM Audio has built a solid reputation among the pro audio cognoscente. We know that a superior speaker system has superior components, and this is one area where the company has a distinct edge. With years of R&D behind each proprietary driver, ADAM Audio’s custom driver technology expresses itself in breakthroughs such as their X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter, which is based on a groundbreaking 1960s invention, the Heil Air Motion Transformer — and in fact, was the main impetus for the formation of ADAM Audio. The X-ART tweeter became the key to ADAM’s signature transparent, high-definition sound; and the core development of ADAM’s proprietary designs going forward.

Embracing, exploiting, and working with modern materials has allowed ADAM Audio to formulate loudspeaker components that continually elevate the state of the art in studio monitor design. Materials such as rare-earth magnets and high-strength diaphragm foils have increased reliability, enhanced performance, and made possible new driver geometry. As compared with conventional driver technology, Adam drivers deliver optimized radiation characteristics, lower distortion, and higher efficiency. Along with installations in a growing number of top studios, ADAM Audio’s monitor range has garnered rave reviews from audio experts and recording engineers worldwide. If you’re considering an upgrade to world-class monitoring, you’ll be in good company with ADAM Audio monitors.

And when you do want to push your system to the max, an HF-protection circuit prevents excessive input signals from damaging the tweeter, so you get clear sound throughout the entire volume range.

Use as a main speaker or as a floor monitorYamaha designed the CBR15’s cabinet with a 50-degree wedge angle. This allows you to place the speaker on its side and angle it up for use as a stage monitor. Especially if you’re equipping your school or church with PA gear, you’ll appreciate the dual-function versatility of the Yamaha CBR15.
