ADAM Audio Monitoring Accuracy Comes to the Desktop

Studio monitoring accuracy has made great strides during this millennium, and industry leader ADAM Audio is at the forefront of these exciting technological advances. The company’s monitors have emerged as fixtures in world-class control rooms, commercial recording facilities, and home studios. Now, the ADAM Audio D3V brings that expertise to desktop monitoring systems. Designed for musicians, producers, and music lovers who want quality sound in a convenient, compact form factor, the D3V features ADAM Audio’s renowned D-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter, a 3.5-inch woofer, and two passive radiators per channel, bi-amplified through a state-of-the-art crossover system. Flaunting ADAM Audio’s smart German industrial design, D3V speakers lend an elegant, professional look to any desktop setup, into which they integrate smoothly via TRS and UCB-C connectivity. A complete package that includes two monitors, angled stands, desktop pads, cables, and adaptors, the ADAM Audio D3V is an outstanding value in high-quality desktop monitoring.

    ADAM Audio’s acclaimed D-ART Tweeter

The ribbon tweeter used in the D3V benefits from a quarter century of research. Instead of producing sound with a piston-like diaphragm like most loudspeakers, ADAM Audio’s D-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter uses a pleated diaphragm that prevents distortion by moving air four times faster than the folds themselves are moving. Built to the tightest tolerances, the D-ART tweeter delivers ultra-low distortion and extends the frequency range up to 22.5kHz, enriching the soundfield with stunning detail and faithfully conveying every nuance of the source material so you can monitor over long periods without listening fatigue. Matched left and right tweeters are each driven by a 40-watt amplifier in a fully integrated crossover system managed by highly accurate DSP (which also facilitates the D3V’s highly effective room-acoustics optimization).

Aluminum woofer with ferrite magnet system

The D3V’s 3.5-inch aluminum woofer delivers a truly impressive bass response for a loudspeaker of this size. Driven by an 80-watt amplifier and augmented by two 3.5-inch stainless-steel passive radiators (one on each side), this proprietary driver features a special ferrite magnet structure that enables the D3V to deliver frequencies down to 45Hz, reproduced with remarkable tightness and definition. Optimized using ADAM Audio’s cutting-edge Klippel measurement system, the woofer’s symmetrical voice coil and ferrite magnet system help to minimize distortion while providing a linear motor mechanism. The woofer’s one-piece concave cone is comprised of thick, ridged aluminum with a long linear excursion range that delivers uncolored sound even at high output levels.

ADAM Audio: elevating the state of the art

From its 1999 launch in Berlin, ADAM Audio has built a solid reputation among the pro audio cognoscente. The engineers know that a superior speaker system has superior components, and this is one area where ADAM Audio has a distinct edge. With years of R&D behind each proprietary driver, the company’s custom driver technology expresses itself in breakthroughs such as the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter, which is based on a groundbreaking 1960s invention, the Heil Air Motion Transformer — and in fact, the main impetus for the formation of ADAM Audio. The X-ART tweeter and its variants are key to ADAM Audio’s signature transparent, high-definition sound and the core development of its proprietary designs going forward.

Embracing, exploiting, and working with modern materials has allowed ADAM Audio to formulate loudspeaker components that continually elevate the state of the art in studio monitor design. Materials such as rare-earth magnets and high-strength diaphragm foils have increased reliability, enhanced performance, and made possible new driver geometry. As compared with conventional driver technology, the company’s drivers deliver optimized radiation characteristics, lower distortion, and higher efficiency. Along with installations in a growing number of top studios, ADAM Audio’s monitor range has garnered rave reviews from audio experts and recording engineers worldwide. If you’re considering an upgrade to world-class monitoring, you’ll be in good company with ADAM Audio monitors.

Adam Audio T8V Powered Studio Monitor

    Studio Monitors

Professional ADAM Monitoring for the Budget-conscious Studio

Flagship of the T Series, ADAM Audio’s affordable line of professional 2-way active studio monitors, the T8V features an 8″ polypropylene low-frequency driver that delivers bass extension down to an impressive 39Hz, while the company’s U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter provides pristine highs extended up to 25kHz — quite remarkable for a monitor in this price range. The tweeter’s broad, uniform dispersion pattern is assisted by a precision waveguide modeled on the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM’s premium S Series studio monitors, which provides an impressively wide sweet spot that liberates you from being constrained to a rigid listening position.

The T8V’s beveled cabinet features a rear-firing bass reflex port affixed to a thick metal backplate that houses the analog input connections and DSP-controlled driver crossovers and equalization. The woofer’s 70W Class D amplifier, in combination with the 20W Class D tweeter amp, enables a pair of T8Vs to achieve an impressive maximum SPL of 118dB at one meter. The T8V’s extended frequency response, robust dynamic range, exemplary transient response, broad sweet spot, and compact footprint make it ideally suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post, and broadcast applications. It’s a perfect monitoring solution, considering the modest budgets that many facilities have to work with.

    8″ polypropylene low-frequency driver

The drivers in ADAM Audio studio monitors benefit from years of in-house research and development and take advantage of the latest advances in technology and materials science. The woofer in the T8V is engineered to deliver optimized low-frequency reproduction with extended dynamic range and freedom from coloration. It incorporates a rigid, yet low-mass polypropylene driver cone; a highly efficient magnet assembly and precisely aligned voice coil; and an optimized driver chassis/basket design. The T8V’s 8″ woofer extends response down to 39Hz, making the speaker a suitable choice for nearfield monitoring in small control rooms, with or without a subwoofer. If more low-end extension is desirable, ADAM Audio’s Sub8 and Sub8 subwoofers pair perfectly with the T8V.

    The U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter

Instead of producing sound with a piston-like diaphragm like most loudspeakers, ADAM Audio’s U-ART accelerated-ribbon tweeter uses a pleated diaphragm that prevents distortion by moving air four times faster than the folds themselves are moving. Built to the tightest tolerances, the U-ART tweeter delivers ultra-low distortion and extends the frequency range up to 25kHz, enriching the soundfield with stunning detail and faithfully conveying every nuance of the source material so you can work over long periods without listening fatigue.

    AKG C314 Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone

    Recording Microphones
    ₹59,999.00

    A Great One-mic Solution

What are you recording today? A choir? A rock band? Voiceovers or Foley? When you need a mic that will accurately capture any source, you’ll be impressed by the AKG C314 condenser microphone, sibling to the legendary C414. Made in the same factory in Austria, it uses AKG’s famous XLS microphone capsule, which has been finely tuned to deliver a clear, full sound and an off-axis response that doesn’t sound unnatural. The C314 offers an outstanding dynamic range and ultra-low noise, which means you’ll be able to capture dynamic vocalists and instruments with the utmost detail. And with the C314’s multi-polar-pattern design, you can use it for vocals, as a room mic, for recording large ensembles, and more.

AKG C314 Condenser Microphone at a Glance:

    • AKG’s XLS mic capsule sounds great in any setting
    • Overload indicator helps you make better recordings
    • A great go-to mic for project studios

AKG’s XLS mic capsule sounds great in any settingRecording engineers  like AKG’s XLS mic capsule because it produces great results from anything you put in front of it. We also like it because any off-axis sounds it picks up still sounds natural, unlike some mics that sound significantly different when off-axis sounds are introduced. So even if you’ve got some bleed from other sources, you’ll still get great results from the AKG C314.

Overload indicator helps you make better recordingsWhile the AKG C314 microphone can handle impressive SPL levels (up to 155dB with the pad engaged), it also sports a peak indicator LED that tells you when you’re overloading the mic. When you’re setting up mics and doing a sound check you won’t need to constantly reference your monitoring system to know excessive sound levels are distorting the mic.

A great go-to mic for project studiosWhile any recordist can appreciate the great sound and recording flexibility of the AKG C314, it really packs a lot of value for project studios that regularly record different sound sources. Even if your sessions for the week range from voiceovers, hand percussion, and choirs to string quartets, rock bands, and Foley for sound design, you’ll get exceptional results with an AKG C314.

    AKG C314 Condenser Microphone Features:

    • Multi-pattern condenser microphone with AKG’s acclaimed XLS mic capsule
    • Cardioid, supercardioid, omni and figure-8 polar patterns give you plenty of recording options
