Audio-Technica AT-LP5X Direct-drive Fully Manual Turntable

Vintage-inspired Aesthetics Meet Cutting-edge Performance:Within the Shinjuku special ward of Tokyo, Japan, Hideo Matsushita founded Audio-Technica in 1962. In short order, the company rapidly evolved to produce far more than the MM stereo phonograph cartridges, ultimately emerging as an internationally renowned household name for hi-fi listening.

More than 50 years later, Audio-Technica returns to its roots with the successor for the acclaimed AT-LP5 turntable: the AT-LP5X. This fully manual direct-drive turntable takes up the gauntlet of its predecessor by blending heritage aesthetics with contemporary audiophile craftsmanship, impressing hi-fi enthusiasts with their deployment of a J-shaped tonearm that was inspired by the company’s 1960s and ‘70s designs.

Everything from the aluminum platter and rubber damping mat to the direct-drive motor and AC adapter were engineered with exacting precision to all but eliminate noise while preserving signal integrity and maintaining premium aural fidelity.

With its versatile suite of variable playback speeds, switchable preamp modes, and diverse connectivity options, the AT-LP5X is primed for premier playback — the only thing missing is your favorite vinyl.
